Made the point that the basic figures are still composed of the traditional techniques. The head is still in full profile with the eye on one side of the head, shoulders are still seen from the front, while chest, hips and feet are still in full profile.

Draftsmen cont. to treat the surfaces they were painting on as 2D rather than any illusion of depth.

  1. I remember reading that they changed the grid on which human figures were drawn, affecting the standard proportions. (You can see the difference on the walls of Tut's tomb.)
